By accessing or using Kodo Status ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.
2. Description of Service
Kodo Status provides a status page platform that allows you to communicate service status, incidents, and maintenance windows to your users. The Service includes web-based dashboards, public status pages, APIs, and notification systems.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update any information that changes
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit malware or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Send spam or unsolicited communications

5. Subscription and Payments
Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
- Provide valid payment information
- Authorize recurring charges until you cancel
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time, and you will retain access until the end of your billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create using the Service. By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to post any content you create.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KODO STATUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kodo Status and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
